Endurance P.E.
Second term is here and students are working hard to take it out. Specially in P.E, which is the hardest subject in terms of strength. We have just started a new unit which is called Endurance and it’s a very physical unit. They weren’t used to making Jumping Jacks or Squads... and they have to do it now.
Every Wednesday they are really tired because it is when they have P.E. Their objective is getting students strong and they can make it to the Course Navet and Cooper ‘s Test. Both tests are endurance based to check their fitness levels.
We hope this year they will be able to make it really well!

Guttman talk in ESO
Thursday last week, Ricard from Guttman came to our school. He gave us a talk about disabled people. This speech was really touching because he told us his story about what had happened to him become a paralytic person. He advertised us to be cautious every day. While he was doing the speech, he played a video about an accident, which was tough. It was really hard because people drinking alcohol are very dangerous on the road. Apart from that, he told us what he does daily and how he does anything.
Thank God, he is alive and he can lead a regular life.

First Aid Lessons
Today we have done the first day of the block of first aid for students of 4th ESO promoted by the department of physical education. This session was given by Carlos, a teacher of Primary Education and expert in medical emergency services.
And they also taught us how to use the defibrillator device, he told us that it was quite important and that we always had to carry one in some center in case of cardiac arrests.
They taught us everything about first aid during the physical education class from the rcp to the emergency numbers, it was a very clear talk and we were all very clear it was fantastic and incredible.

CLUBS
The first club side Trigo coached was FCBarcelona-Guttmann in the top level of Spanish club wheelchair basketball. He has also coached the Hospital Guttmann FC Barcelona team, and the Catalan representative team. In 2012 and 2013, he coached the club side CE San Nicolau in the Spanish Basketball League. He joined the team in late 2012, and has missed a few games because of his coaching duties with the national team. In joining the team, he planned to start a team from scratch with the goal of developing players and progressing the team from the bottom to the top division in Spanish club wheelchair basketball. The team started in the third division in a Catalan region league. The team is built into the larger structure of an existing Spanish basketball club.

Athletics
Primary school students went to the athletics tracks of St. Oleguer at the end of May to participate in a friendly activity where they practiced shot put, speed race, high jump and long jump.
When we finished, we could enjoy some free time to play before we went to have lunch in a park.
We want to congratulate and thank 6th graders, they helped 1st and 2nd grades to carry out the athletic activities, and furthermore they organized activities and games in the park for the rest of their schoolmates.
Huge job guys!

Let's have fun!
